3.2 Managing Digital Tools & Resources
Candidates effectively manage digital tools and resources within the context of student learning experiences.
Artifact: Slideshare Classroom Blogging
Reflection:
For this artifact, I chose a Slideshare project created in ITEC 7430, Internet Tools in the Classroom. his slideshare highlights all of the essential components of using blogs in the classroom. Slideshares are a great way for students to create presentations to demonstrate learning or work with other students in a group project. Slideshare allows students to be creative and be able to share with classmates or outside of the classroom, as well.
Mastery of the 3.2 standard was demonstrated with the creation of this slideshare on classroom blogging. Also, when students view one slideshare, other slideshares on the same topic are available to acess and view gain additional knowledge on a topic. I learned how simple it was to make slideshare presentations and then how to embed the code in other websites, as well. After looking back at the slideshare project, it appeared to be rather dull and too much information per page. Next time, I would limit the information per page for more impact and alternate an image instead of text or link to a video. Student learning could definitely be impacted through the use of this digital resource whether creating individually or in a collaborative project. Students could create slideshare presentations whether at school or home. Both resources could be assessed through student created rubrics. .
